The health and social services provided by Pihlajalinna are based, in accordance with its strategy, on creating value for customers using evidence-based methods. Pihlajalinna manages and improves the quality, effectiveness, and customer and patient safety of its operations and services by utilizing internal and external procedures, such as standards-based quality management, self-monitoring practices, and feedback from customers. Pihlajalinna ensures that there are sufficient resources and appropriate systems for the management, evaluation, and development of quality and effectiveness. The continuous improvement model ensures learning from successes and deviations. Development actions are described in public self-monitoring reports. Competent and well-being professionals ensure the achievement of the company’s quality objectives. Each professional manages the quality of their own work. A management and supervisors committed to quality ensure effective, responsible, and smooth operating models and processes. The company’s quality objectives and their indicators are described in the group’s quality program for 2026–2027.
The quality management system and environmental system are followed in all activities of Pihlajalinna.

The certificate covers operations in medical centers, Ikipihlaja homes, Kolmostien Terveys’s bed department, Mäntänvuori Terveys’s bed department and Selkämeren Terveys’s rehabilitation department.

Pihlajalinna’s private health services, i.e. occupational health and medical centers and hospitals, are certified according to the ISO 14001 environmental management standard.
Any Pihlajalinna unit providing private healthcare services has been licensed for the provision of healthcare services by an authorising body (section 4 of the Finnish Private Health Care Act (152/1990)).
